AccessQA is a Chrome DevTools extension designed to analyze web pages for accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1) and provide code-level improvement suggestions ("Quick Fixes"). We are committed to protecting user privacy and being transparent about how the extension works.

AccessQA may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to improve the stability and functionality of the extension, such as:

• Extension version
• Features used (e.g. analysis, export)
• Non-identifiable error events

This information cannot be used to identify individual users and is used solely for product improvement.

2.2 Information We DO NOT Collect

AccessQA explicitly does not collect:

• ❌ Content or HTML of analyzed web pages
• ❌ URLs or domains of analyzed websites
• ❌ Personal information (name, email, address)
• ❌ Login credentials or authentication data
• ❌ Browsing history
• ❌ Financial or sensitive information

3. How the Extension Works

All accessibility analysis performed by AccessQA:

• Runs entirely locally in the user's browser
• Is triggered only by explicit user action
• Does not transmit page content to external servers
• Generates reports (Word/PDF) fully on-device

4. Permissions Usage

AccessQA only requests permissions that are strictly necessary for its core functionality:

• activeTab – to analyze the currently active page when the user initiates an accessibility scan
• scripting – to inject analysis scripts into the page on demand
• storage – to store local preferences and temporary analysis results
• tabs – to coordinate communication with Chrome DevTools

AccessQA does not monitor browsing activity and does not access pages without direct user interaction.

5. Third-Party Services

AccessQA may use privacy-friendly analytics services to collect anonymous, aggregated metrics for product improvement.

• No advertising services are used
• No tracking cookies are used
• No profiling or fingerprinting is performed

6. Data Storage

The extension stores minimal configuration data locally in the browser, such as:

• Language preference
• Extension settings and filters

This data never leaves the user's device and can be fully removed by uninstalling the extension.

7. User Rights

Users may:

• Use AccessQA fully offline
• Stop all data collection by uninstalling the extension
• Contact us with any privacy-related questions

8. Children's Privacy

AccessQA is intended for developers and accessibility professionals and is not designed for use by children under the age of 13.
